Digest Sharing: Delicious Networks and Mail Article

First suggested 47 days ago in Version 2.1.1 Version: 2.1.1 Browser: Other

Hello Nate! I'm a big Digest fan and in fact, it's one of reasons I went out to get an iPad for! Now, is there a way to also include the list of the users in my network for easier "targetted" sharing?

Also, in the Sharing Actions, aside from just emailing the full text, is there a way to email the actual webview of the article (colors, layout, and all)? This would be great for my friends who'd rather experience the articles I share through their inboxes, but in full html glory.

    Hey Marco,

    Thanks for the support!

Can you expand on your list of network users idea?

I'm not sure that emailing the full layout would be possible just because of all the files that are involved (images, css, etc). That might be a little more involved to get right.

Hello Nate, I realized later on it may not be that simple to implement the list of users as it would seem ShareKit is only forwarding the URL to the mobile version of Delicious.

I was gonna suggest for an extra field for "For" wherein when the field gets focus, a list of users in my network is presented so I can simply tap on them for inclusion. I was just trying to be lazy. I guess i'd just stick with "for:username" in the Tags field for now.

But, if it were implemented the way the Chromium Delicious Plugin did it, it may be possible.

As for the full layout email, I was just thinking if you were able to cache everything for offline use anyway, maybe they can be emailed as well. But yeah, it can get pretty dirty. :)

I should've thought about these harder before bringing it forward. Sorry. :)
